Some photographs are made for clients. These ones are made for the record.

I believe the camera is a point of view, not just a tool. Editorial and documentary work is where that view gets to be fully mine — no brief, no approval chain, no version three with the logo bigger.

This is work driven by curiosity. A city block at the wrong hour. A face that holds something unresolved. A landscape that refuses to be pretty. The moment just before or just after the obvious shot. I’m not interested in the world as it’s supposed to look — I’m interested in how it actually looks when nobody’s performing.

The projects here span street photography, documentary series, nature, and editorial shoots where the concept came first and the camera followed. Some were commissioned. Most weren’t.
